The Wisconsin FFA Foundation board of directors has approved the increase to take effect January 1, 2015.
The Wisconsin FFA Foundation board of directors has voted to increase the donation level for the Blue and Gold Society membership from $10,000 to $15,000. The Blue and Gold Society was formed as a way to honor and recognize donors of major gifts and/or planned gifts.The Blue and Gold Society continues to grow in membership numbers through the thoughtful contributions of its members. Members can designate the gift any way they would like. Many choose to establish an endowment to perpetually support a scholarship or other specific program. They can also tailor scholarship criteria as desired.
"We appreciate our Blue and Gold Society members for the lasting impression they make on Wisconsin FFA and its members," says Julie Larson, president of the Wisconsin FFA Foundation board of directors. "Increasing this membership level will empower individuals to provide greater long-term support of the organization."
The contribution can be donated as one single gift or smaller gifts spread out over one to three years. The change will take effect on January 1, 2015, and a single installment payment received before that date will ensure the lower membership rate. In order to join the group through a planned gift such as a bequest or beneficiary designation, arrangements must be made and proper notification given to the Foundation office by January 1, 2015.
